So PSU instigated the whole thing.

The DC is staffed by Students but has nothing to do with the coaching staff or the AD telling them to call JRob up if that's what u mean.

On Sunday:

It?s not okay to break the rules. The kid wasn?t hurt. He knows he wasn?t hurt and the coaches know he wasn?t hurt and they allowed it anyway. It?s outside the integrity of the sport. He just got tired. He wasn?t hurt. He just wound his clock, took a timeout and the coaches just went along with it instead of keeping him out there and letting him deal with it."

JRob said what needed to be said, lungers shouldn't be allowed and this is one of few ways to help ensure that they won't. Guys can take lungers at anytime on an eye poke or contact injury TO, or grab an ankle or knee...but if they or their coach is afraid of getting called out on it then it makes it less likely to happen. The Big Ten should not have said anything to JRob I don't think, but they have to cover their butt incase Cael and PSU got pissed. I'm sure Cael doesn't care too much with 5 #1 seeds and David Taylor and Ed Ruth on his team. Molinaro will cruise in the Big Ten's.

The staff switches off every year but I do know the 2 kids covering PSU wrestling are interested in the sport & are tech savvy enough to probably have heard about the Intermat sound bite. So if that is what you meant, yea. But I don't see it as "PSU instigating" something. Just a college kid following up on something that sounded controversial.
