The B10 objected to JRob questioning Cael's integrity. It is one thing to point out that he believed a rule was abused, it is another to do it in that manner.

Poor Cael. J Rob is so sinister.
To avoid criticism say nothing, do nothing, be nothing.

Thats a good point. Questioning the coaches integrity for not just assuming the kid was faking it is pretty bad.

You have to assume, since he took such a public stance, that he's forced kids to wrestle in the past because he thought they were faking being hurt.

Next up, Cael retaliates by mentioning the number of transfers and career dismantling injuries at MN..

Like I said, I have not loyalty to anyone involved. But you are going to have to tell me what was wrong with the manner he did it with. Was it just because it was public? If that is the rub, then I don't agree. He seemed a bit disgusted but didn't say anything inappropriate. He just sounded like he disagreed with the coaching style of PSU, to me.

Because Sanderson shouldn't be expected to push the kid back out onto the mat when he takes an injury timeout.. no matter what. He has no idea what the injury *might* be..

I've seen John Smith rush one of his lung TO wrestlers back to the mat in about 10 seconds when he realizes there's no real injury... and similar incidents at Iowa. There are ways to deal with it when it happens. And there are ways to set a precedent so the wrestlers don't even try to pull it off. I'm not questioning what Cael's policy is - maybe he allows it, maybe he prohibits it. But either way, in this case, I didn't see him or anyone else pursuing what the injury "might" be to find out... they were going along with the 'fake injury' and complicit in the abuse of the rule.

The problem is - all you need is one time where the coach, who isn't a trained medical professional, forces someone with a head injury back onto the mat..
