But.....Bael is above everyone else. Just ask any PSU fan. In all seriousness, this is a non-story besides Byers going to Iowa which makes Iowa very strong next year, probabaly even better than this years garbage team that the Hawks have thrown out there.

If an infraction gets you chucked out of school, I hardly call that "less severe" no matter what Long did (I honestly can't remember, and don't feel like looking it up). When facing jail time ... again, hardly "less severe" and saying GMU had "stricter" policies seems like a complete cop out.

If I remember correctly Long swung at a police officer after trying to pass off a fake ID and getting busted.. which actually could end a lot worse than jail time... Had he not been too drunk and actually connected he'd have been facing jail time too (and maybe got knocked down to probation w/ expectations of no same/similar offenses over X months.)

    Not sure what Byers did..

I haven't. You are late on the chain. I have merely pointed out that several Iowa fans have tried to paint Cael in one light & Brands in another for the same actions. They have also tried to paint Long in one light & Marion in another for basically the same things. I have not taken any "moral high ground" just pointed out that others have tried to do so. My point of this thread is that I was hypotheszing that SOME not all Hawk fans would be bashing Cael over CAYLE if he did indeed go to PSU as some originally thought he would. I noticed that said Hawk fans don't like to be called out.

If Long was sent packing for good he has no choice but to leave for another school and no one blames him. KJ said all
along he could return if he did what was asked of him but he skipped out instead. The other part of that situation deserving
some jabs was the fact it was Mr. fake goody two shoes who picked Long up.

What point are you making by copying and pasting posts from another website by someone who doesn't post here? Nobodys disputing that fans across the country would be biased one way or the other depending on where he went, so I don't really get your point.
To avoid criticism say nothing, do nothing, be nothing.

I'll save you the time. Long was in a bar fight and when the cops came he got unruly and hip tossed a female cop to the ground and then got tasered. Later after his hospital check from the 1st taser he acted up again and got tasered a second time. One guy spit at/on the police following a fight and another hip tossed a female cop to the ground and had to be tasered twice after a fight. I consider spitting less severe than tossing a cop to the ground but thats just me. Byers ended up getting busted harder probably due to his deal not being right by campus like Long's was. The police in the byers case could care less who he is in the situation. The facts of the incidents clearly show Byers's situation to be no worse than Long's. I'm not sure what kind of a cop out it is saying GM was more strict than ISU, they booted him for more or less the same thing so it looks like a fact to me.

So how does the transfer work? Does he have to pay his own way or will he be on scholarship? Will Iowa have to pull somebody else's scholarship to make room for him, or is there some kind of exemption for transfer students?

You don't? You have posts on that thread so you should know what I am pointing out. Sure people get biased towards their teams but what I have said & Jason has said as well is that if Cayle went to wrestle for Cael, then many of those guys trying to justify Iowa's actions would be damning Cael. That sort of bias borders on prejudice & just plain inability to differentiate.

Already people are saying that Long ran away but Byers didn't cause he was kicked out of school. I wonder if Long or Marion had gone to GMU if they would have been kicked out too! I can pretty much bet that they would have been. And of course Clark transferring is completely different as well.

And it is really funny to me that this fact that Byers got kicked out of school suddenly makes that situation BETTER then Long going to PSU. A kid who was EXPELLED is better the kid who got SUSPENDED. Too funny.

If I would have posted a thread that said BYERS to Penn State the number of Bael references would have been TRENDING....
