    Default New to College Wrestling

In a sense im new to college wrestling all though i watch the NCAA finals every year i fail to actually know the wrestlers at hand. i was wondering if anyone could help me get into it. Give me some names to look at for and not just the people expected to win but guys who are underdogs but have the ability for some upsets.

That is a list of the college rankings for teams and individuals.

Brent Metcalf is the biggest name in college wrestling right now, and he is pretty exciting to watch.

Weight classes 157 (Jordan Leen, Gregor Gillespie) and 184 (Mike Pucillo, Jake Herbert) both have 2 former national champs competing this year.

Particularly interesting weight classes to follow right now seem to be 141 and 157. 157 is interesting because it is ridiculously competitive; neither of the 2 returning Champs are ranked #1. 141 is interesting because everyone is beating everyone; at this point it wouldn't be surprising at all to see anyone in the top 10 beat anyone else in the top 10.

Think you should just hang around this board a little bit. I have only been on the boards the last three years and though it is widely known that I get my wrestlers mixed up from time to time, I have slowly become familiar with most of the bigger names and teams and even know a little bit about some of the lesser knowns.

Joining the fantasy wrestling has almost certainly helped in that aspect as you are forced to follow multiple boxscores and check up stats on many teams.
