    What about Heavyweight?

The Triggas and Jaggers upsets are huge...

Sponseller has now wrestled #1, 2, 3, 7, and 9, while he is #6. It's kind of crazy that he's seen that much of the top 10 so early in the season. But another good win for him tonight. I wonder if he will pass Reader or Morningstar in the rankings.

pretty much the polar opposite of last year, ya?

    Sponseller looks much improved.

Well at this point last year he was still nursing a broken wrist and hadn't wrestled yet, so I guess you could say that. What's most exciting is to see him winning close matches. He was on the losing end of too many of those last year.

If it's tight and ends up going to OT, I'll take him every time.

I took my son to see this match. Gellespie and Pucillo both "handled" there opponents pretty good, but I think it was humphrey that had the only major of the night. 19-12 Ohio. Triggis lost but Morrison won the heavyweight match.

Nice wins by Sponseller and Pucillo. Sponseller for the second year in a row over King, and then Pucillo showing that he hasn't quite lost the touch in handily beating Honeycutt.
