    Pretty sure hochstrasser took a redshirt and not a mission, could be wrong though

    He went on a 2 year Mormon mission then redshirted a year -went 19-1 his redshirt year losing to Baker from Navy in the Southern Scuffle . 2 years is a long time away from the mat .

    As rpayton pointed out, you are. He was a true freshman in 04-05 and made the round of of 12 at 125 before he got knocked out by Bobbe Lowe

    Jake Varner just keeps getting better and better. Had a great run in freestyle, (crushing Herbert again in Las Vegas) and seems to be feeling great with the extra weight. This should be his year, barring injury of course.

    I am pulling for varner. I hope he can overcome his big match struggles and join mr herbert in the national championship club.
