I agree that the cupboard isn't bare for the gophers. Yet, Iowa State is getting #1 David Taylor, Trent Weatherman, Boaz Beard out of Kansas and others. Then the year after we have already had a commitment from Jaime Clark out of Ohio for 2009. That said, the hawks and cyclones are going to make it a two team show for a while.

Obviously people aren't going to stop going to the Iowa schools once the guys there currently graduate, but as these new guys start stepping into the line ups and taking their young guy lumps at the Iowa schools Minnesota's and Oklahoma State's guys will be very experienced and ready to make their runs at titles.

That Tsirtsis fella won't be back for Iowa next year.
I will smash your face into a car windshield and then take your mother, Dorothy Mantooth, out to a nice seafood dinner and never call her again!

Tell me about it, this morning, I woke up and I shit a squirrel, but what I can't get is the damn thing is still alive. So now, I've got a shit covered squirrel running around my office and I don't know what to name it.

They still have LeClere. It's a dropoff (IMO), but not a HUGE drop off.

I forgot about Tsirtsis, so yeah Iowa will have eight guys back next year, not nine.

As Zapp notes they'll have LeClere (or perhaps Slaton) there to step in and fill the 141 spot.

I'd be quite shocked not to see Slaton at 141

With the difficulty he has had making 133 this year, its almost a certainty that Slaton is 141 or he is on the bench.

In regards to crowning Iowa and Iowa State for the near future, I would only say that there was a team last year that looked like a clear favorite until guys got hurt and then some didn't wrestle up to expectations. I am pretty confident that barring injuries one of those teams should win this year but Cornell and Missouri should be right there should one or both of them slip up.

As far as next year, I have also learned not to project that far out with any type of certainty. Too many things can happen between now and then.

Well I just saw the match between Schlatter and Burroughs, where Burroughs won 6-4. I was hoping the time off and new weight would allow him to be more offensive but it doesn't look that way.
