Minnesota wrestled really well against Penn State, so that makes me nervous against Iowa coming up, but Iowa is rolling right now, and I think Brands has them ready to go. I hate making predictions, but I think that Iowa pulls out a pretty close dual win. I think that if Iowa wins 125, 133, and 141 it deflates Minnesota and clinches the dual for Iowa right there. Also, St. John should be able to destroy Mincey at 157 as well. What is the status of 197 lb Yohn? Is he going, or is he still injured? Ok, well here goes.

    125 Iowa mdec 4-0
    133 Iowa dec 7-0
    141 Iowa dec 10-0
    149 MN dec 10-3
    157 Iowa mdec 14-3
    165 Iowa dec 17-3
    174 MN dec 17-6
    184 MN dec 17-9
    197 Iowa dec 20-12
    HWT MN 20-15

Im giving Iowa a dec at 197 as well assuming that Yohn does not go, but if he does then I think that Yohn takes it.

IMO Janssen & Luke Lofthouse are both over-rated which is why they aren't toss ups. And Steinhaus is under-rated so his match isn't a toss up either.
Ratings aren't everything? Ok, but results are...and Ramos has done better against better competition than Thorn has. Same thing for Janssen. He's beating guys Yohn beat by bigger scores. For instance, he majored Ryan LeBlanc, who Yohn beat 1-0. He went to SV with Sponseller whereas Yohn lost by 3 in regulation. I'm not sure how they can be overrated when they're, ya know, getting the results.

Zapp, just FYI David Thorn is ranked #20 by wrestlingreport (Ramos 8th), and we'll see when TOM and intermat come out with new rankings.

Does this change the prediction? No, but does show that it is not out of the question for little Thorn to win, especially if he has some style advantages and it stays close into the 3rd period.

I think the biggest advantage that little Thorn has is that nasty right cross he throws at the end of the second period from time to time. It seems to come out of nowhere.

D.Thorn's young and can be a little too aggressive at times and that can cost him points. He should have kept the match against Long to a decision, but didn't wrestle very smart and gave up the major. If he wrestles like that against Ramos, I think it's quite possible Ramos gets a major as well.

His brother used to be the EXACT same way. I recall it got him a fall over Montell Marion at one time. I think generally speaking though, you are right, he could/should have kept that to a decision and I anticipate he will do so also with Ramos.

He got majored by Long because Long turned him.

Ramos is no where near as good as Long is on top, the matches/styles really aren't comparable.
