Re: Iowa vs Northwestern
Precin and McD should be entertaining. I wish it were televised.

Re: Iowa vs Northwestern
I think this is going to be a very interesting dual match. The outcome of the match between Precin and McDonough will go a long way toward setting the tone of the match - and maybe of the match with Penn State on Sunday. I think Jason Welch will do well against St. John. I saw Welch wrestle against Illinois a few weeks ago and he is extremely aggressive. Conrad Polz is pretty exciting to watch as well. But, over-all, I think Iowa will take it.

Re: Iowa vs Northwestern
For a freshman , Friedly is a complete HAMMER on top. I can see NW taking 4 matches -Welch is a quiet 20-2-should be interesting

I think you meant Kevin Bialka. Polz wrestles for Illinois.
Without looking at the line-ups, here was the prediction I posted on another site more than a week ago:
125: #2 Matt McDonough vs. #1 Brandon Precin
133: #10 Tyler Clark vs. Levi Mele/Bobby Joyce
141: #16 Mark Ballweg vs. Kaleb Friedley
149: Matt Ballweg/Jeret Chiri vs. #11 Andrew Nadhir
157: #15 Derek St. John vs. #7 Jason Welch
165: #16 Aaron Janssen vs. Kevin Bialka
174: #14 Ethan Logthouse vs. Robert Kellogg
184: #17 Grant Gambrall vs. Aaron Jones
197: #15 Luke Lofthouse vs. John Schoen
265: Blake Rasing vs. Ben Kuhar
Looking at the line-up, I can see the 'Cats winning 125, 149 and 157 with very possible wins/upsets at 141 and heavy.
Like any college dual, the name of the game will be bonus points. As much as I love my 'Cats and even with splitting the matches five-a-piece, I see Iowa walking away with this dual 21-15.

Re: Iowa vs Northwestern
I had to check and see if NW was using Kellogg or Baika -I changed the line up as best I could with their records next to them .

Re: Iowa vs Northwestern
The upper weights for Northwestern are all sneaky tough. None of them world beaters of course but they could pull out a couple wins at 65-HWT and make things interesting if the lightweights can win.

Re: Iowa vs Northwestern
I like McD over Precin and DSJ over Welch(not as sure on that one)
Not many other matches of interest that I can see.
