Last November, I hopped in the car with my boss and drove about forty minutes south of Little Rock to Arkadelphia, a little college town in Clark County. Arkadelphia is the home of two colleges: Henderson (where my niece goes to school) and Ouachita Baptist University. OBU was holding the first NCAA wrestling dual match in the history of Arkansas. I thought it was pretty exciting. The student body turned out in fair numbers, and the wrestling was pretty good. I've been lucky in that I've had a chance to see NCAA Division I wrestling in person, and yeah, the dual match at OBU wasn't Iowa. But I thought the kids did a fantastic job and the match was exciting. OBU won against Central Baptist College (another Arkansas college). So, Arkansas is up and running and looking to make a name for itself in the NCAA Division I and NAIA. We need a Division I team - Razorbacks? I'm looking at you.
