Frey's dad was just hired as head coach of Penn College (PSU branch campus in Williamsport, PA). I'm not exactly sure of the discount for PSU employees but I know it's significant (75%-100%) and immediately goes into affect for employees children as soon as they are hired (you have to wait a few years for spouses). So I doubt Frey is on a wrestling scholarship.

I hope Brands goes after him pretty aggressively.

Camp was advertised as 6'2" 210 for football and those stats are always embellished. He's a 197 through and through.

Don't count Rutgers out. Won't be much money but they too have a huge need at 197 and with the program level at where it is today, he's got to be tempted. Also, RU in state tuition and other aid will be a lot less than PSU out of state and a sliver of scholarship. Camp isn't from well to do money so it a big factor.

The fact he can wrestle 15 minutes from home in front of friends and family has to be a factor also.

Cmon, Rutgers has to be the front runner. He has a chance to be part of history for the program. And it would be an simple decision. I will place a wager he stays.
I pictured you as that guy Gaylord in Showboat, passing up taxis to walk because he's broke and playing it off as if it's the doctor's advice. - Clmetal

He could make "history" at Rutgers which would require what? what? Having a top 10 NCAA finish? Not to mention there will be no partners there on his level.

Or he could make REAL history at PSU. The teams they are going to have could really test the NCAA scoring record if they can fit everyone in their lineup.

You may be correct that he wants to go to Rutgers still but I don't think it's to "make history" I'd guess it'd be because he likes the school and it's close to home.

Didnt Camp get beat by Evans last year or the year before? I would love to see him in black and gold although that is probably a long shot as I think that Evans has a ceiling at 184 in college, and Camp would be a great 197.

Also, isnt McIntosh projected to be at 197 for PSU? If so, Camp would create a log jam there and a great kid would be sitting out in their line up, and with not a lot of money available one would think that PSU is a long shot as well.

Rutgers in my mind has to be a front runner and they are definitely heading in the right direction it seems.

Yes Evans did beat him at 189 but I'm sure those two will never see each other in college. Mikes a 74 and Camps a 97 at the smallest I believe.

McIntosh is another 189 lber but I dont think he's a big 89 and don't believe he has the frame for 97 as short and squat as he is. He's probably another 74/84. Lots of these high school studs wrestle whatever they weigh and cut ZERO weight because they're so dominant. That 215 Tank Knowles was interviewed saying he'd probably like to be at 184 in college. I don't see Mcintosh as a guy who would keep Camp from PSU.

I would like to again reiterate that it would be great to see Tom go after this kid, though I don't know how he ends up at Iowa.
