That Chop just agreed with everything I said means you should all go home from work today and be with your families as Armageddon is surely upon us.

Molinaro and Ruth should have gotten majors.
I'm not a real Iowa fan but this drives me nuts to read this from losing teams.

I haven't see the dual as many of you have (the jerks that get the BTN) but refs miss calls all the time, did they miss any calls FOR PSU that could have given Iowa an even larger margin of victory.

PSU is very young and very promising, so is Iowa, they have what, two returning starters? And one of them wrestled for the first time in nearly a year yesterday. What happens when they fill in their holes as well?

Why do Iowa fans need to settle down? Didn't they just go into Rec Hall and beat the #1 ranked team in the country? If fans don't get excited over that then what can they get excited over? I guarantee you that if Oregon State had just beat the number one ranked team I would not be anywhere close to "settling down". Maybe it is the PSU fans that need to step back a bit.

You know Snackem, you are absolutely right. Losers always cry foul. Actually losers just cry. Remember this "The Dogs bark, but the caravan moves on." Iowa will move to more victories and the Penn State fans will just have to wait for their next diaper change.

You are all missing my point I guess. I already said PSU wrestled terribly and Iowa wrestled great. I was just suggesting that if a couple of little things had swung the other way, the final result could have easily been different. So under the circumstances, the fan chest-thumping is a bit over the top. It looked to me like two pretty even teams (with the exception of 125 and 197 and maybe 149, 157 and 174) where one team didn't wrestle well and the other wrestled pretty close to the best they could. Another day and the result could easily go the other way. But even on this day, some perspective is warranted.

I think the "chest-thumpin'" is in response to the pre-match chest-thumpin' several PSU fans did on this site. I have no dog in this fight, but PSU fans got a wake up call. And IMO, it was needed. Maybe they will be better for it. Talking about referee calls does sound whiney, though.

If ifs and buts were candy and nuts we'd all have a Merry Christmas.

Come on now. You could say that about lots of matches. And as someone else pointed out, a couple things could have swung another way and maybe Iowa would have won by more.

The problem with asking "what if" is that you never know the answer. All we know is that this year the results will have a "W" by Iowa for this dual.

THE FAN CHEST THUMPING IS OVER THE TOP?! For Christs Sake! The Penn State fans have been the kings of chest thumping this year. They go undefeated for HALF A SEASON and think they've started a new dynasty. They've done nothing, except look good doing it! They crowned themselves champions and got beat by the "old", or some might call DEFENDING champs and now we have to stop our chest thumping. Just so you know, OUR chest thumping wouldnt be so loud, if YOURS wasnt so loud and obnoxious this whole season. Iowa is the Champions with the hardware to prove it. Penn St is the champion in your own minds. There's a difference. Take your new, same old, coach and go back to the fantasy land that is Happy Valley. Come back out for Big Tens and NCAA's. If you win those, blow on your horn as loud as you want, but until then, eat some humble pie!

Not sure the PSU team crowned themselves the new champs this year (and I am betting that they didn't), but some PSU fans were a bit over the top. The same thing can be said for other teams' fans as well at times.

PSU didn't come out to battle and Iowa did. End of story, regardless of missed calls, stalling, etc. As Herkey said, PSU and its fans are going to have to eat some humble pie for a while.

Well, now...look whose chest thumping now?

I give all the credit in the world to Iowa. I really do. No excuses. Iowa beat PSU's asses. bottom line. Period. End of story.

But you all need forgive us PSU fans for being so damn happy for having something to cheer about after such a considerable drought. We start getting excited and Iowa fans do everything they can to rain on our parade. Can you freak'n blame us for being excited? We weren't crowning ourselves. I've openly stated that PSU has done NOTHING yet. Not a single thing. We're just happy that we have a future. We're just happy that we have something to look forward to.

But hey, If Iowa fans want to gloat over having won a dual meet over a young team who hasn't done anything, proven anything, coached by a guy who can never win a match when the spotlight is on his team, then go ahead and gloat, chest thump, and be merry. You've sincerely earned that right.
