Grandview College in Des Moines announced today that it will probably add intercollegiate wrestling in 2009-10. Grandview is a member of the NAIA and the Midwest Collegiate Conference.

Dude, that's fantastic news! I hope someday to hear that every school in Iowa has a team. Drake said they were going to? I know they didn't, but I sure hope someday they do.

That is awesome. If Drake were to field a team (I'm not holding my breath), that would be even more awesome.

Grand View would be the third Iowa school in the Midwest Collegiate Conference to have wrestling, joining William Penn and Waldorf. Other NAIA programs in the state are Briar Cliff and Morningside. These schools are in the heart of wrestling country, let's encourage them to add wrestling to their athletic departments.
