    Default Caldwell

Should he bump up to 157 and knock Taylor off or stay at 49 and knock Dake? I think if he wrestled 157 definetely be more exciting.

He's a 49 lber. Why bump up? He's going to wrestle 145.5 internationally so it makes sense for him to stay around that weight. Let's also recall that(for reasons I can't understand) DC didn't do that great against Bubba and I don't see him seeking out that competition. He's got a tough weight and has nothing to prove. DT is the one who still has much to accomplish.

I will concede I'd love to see he and DT go at it but it really makes no sense for Caldwell to go up.

I've never really understood this lining of thinking that "Bubba owns Caldwell". They only ever wrestled once, and Bubba won that match with a 5 point move with something like 20 seconds left.

As to the actual question being asked...he's a 149, like vais says there is no reason for him to go up.

I dont think Bubba owns Caldwell. For the life of me I dont know how he lost to him. However, it's still a loss he had, and I doubt he'd be that thrilled to go wrestle him.

Nellie you are nuts if you think DC would duck anyone. Just because he doesn't purposely go up to a weigh that isn't his natural weight class doesn't mean he's "ducking" anyone.

not even 100% sure if dake will make it to the finals this year. either way, hoping that he does, caldwell vs. dake is the match to see at nationals.

He sat out last year to avoid Metcalf one more time so why move up when he finally made it back?

The cut to 149 is killing Caldwell. That is why it took so long for him to get on the mat this year. He is only wrestling 149 because he is ducking Taylor and Bubba.

So he sat out last year to duck Metcalf and this year he is killing himself with a cut to duck Taylor and Bubba. This guy needs to see a head shrinker. Sounds like a confidence problem to me. Now that we have all of Caldwells issues figured out for him someone just needs to call him and let him know what we think he should do.

How ridiculous is it to even suggest that Darion is ducking people?! Sure, like a National Champ is afraid to wrestle a freshman and a slacker. For dumb.

Caldwell isn't ducking anyone. He healing from a serious shoulder problem.
