I said this on another site, but it applies here: Penn State has Top-5 guys at 133, 141, 149, 157, 174, 184 (when Q Wright returns) and 285. Top-15 guys at 125 and 165. I would take that lineup against any in the country. This will be a good event, I am looking forward to it.

Big Ten schedule is on the horizon...

I don't disagree, the young guns at Penn State have turned them in to a title contender earlier than I would have predicted. This seems like a pretty wide open year for the title. Which team improves the most from beginning of the season to the end will be the ones on the podium. Not like years past when Iowa clearly had the best team.

Minnesota needs to consider putting little Thorn and getting Deitchler out on the mat if they think they are going to make a run as well.

David Thorn wrestled this past weekend at the Scuffle.

Per JRob via SHP, Deitchler is still having concussion issues and isn't expected to see the mat this year.

I meant Ness, sorry. Maybe he is not a big enough upgrade over Zilberburg at this point. Thats all I can think.

I am VERY pleasantly surprised how the Gophers have improved from 165-Heavy this year. I was expecting good things from Sanders, Thorn but the uppers have REALLY come along way in Yohn, Glasser, Steinhaus, Yohn and Nelson.

I guess indications showed what this group could do last year but I wasn't really following Steinhaus and Nelson too much.

    C. Yohn 2009 23-17 2010 17-4
    Glasser 2009 32-8 2010 18-4
    Steinhaus 2009 20-3 2010 20-3
    S. Yohn 2009 27-13 2010 10-1
    Nelson 2009 9-0 2010 18-3

Brackets are up...PSU and Lehigh are the #1 and #2 seeds.

Possible Jenkins v. Taylor match up in the semi's if Arizona State is able to beat Kent State (which just thinking on paper doesn't appear to be particularly likely).

Minny has been tough all year. If they get all their guys healthy and clicking come NCAA time they could very well contend for a trophy.

I agree Gofer about Ness, he is just a freak. He does all the things Jayson seemingly did but seems to be a bit more of an athlete than Jayson.

Hard to say he'll have a better career than big brother, but I think he's got a good chance to be pretty special.
