It would be awesome for the sport of wrestling if Robles won the Hodge and he's capable of racking up a lot of points quickly against anyone.

Can you imagine the anti-Iowa atmosphere if McD and Robles meet in the finals? The whole nation will be pulling for Robles to win a title, except of course the black&gold faithful.

I can't disagree with that at all tigerfan which is kind of tough to say since McDonough has really never done anything to disrespect himself or the sport. Guess Robles is just THAT good of a story.

Robles got a SO in KC 2 years ago after he lost to Precin in the 3rd place match. Nothing against Precin, just a compelling story.

That was St. Louis and it was awesome. He's an inspiring dude.

Burroughs, Robles, DT are starting to run away with the Hodge trophy. Who ends up taking it from the other I haven't decided yet, but key matches stand out in my mind.

    Burroughs-his dismantling of Yohn

    Taylor- his crushing of Young

    Robles-yoking up Sanders

I will add that Burroughs has a slight edge getting a win over his top competition so we'll have to wait see how DT answers when he sees Hall or Fittery, and Robles when he sees Precin or McD.

Burroughs win over howe isn't as marquee as him beating Yohn? Gotta disagree about the key match there.

I would say no, defeating the defending undefeated national champion is about a marquee of a match as you can get.

Has to be a typo or brain-fart. Although he did handle Yohn in a seemingly effortless way.
