The Leaders and Legends thing is truly confounding. I mean, someone actually thought that sounded like a good idea. I imagine a room of conference, and University brass sitting around, and who after that is suggested, people saying 'WTF?' and ignoring that guy the rest of the meeting. Instead, it wins out. Hard to believe that a panel of people, or even one person, thought that was THE BEST possible name for the conferences. What a joke. It makes that ridiculously lame logo seem great. End of rant.

Leaders and Legends sounds like the teams at an MLB HOF memorial game. 'Now coming to bat for the Legends, Ryne Sandberg. He'll be facing Don Sutton of the Leaders.

With the brain power of 12 schools, I would think that each schools graphics art departments could come up with some thing better. Heck, I believe that most of the guys that post on this site could come up with something better than that.

They used Pentagram, a VERY big design firm. I'm sure it was not cheap. The "10" in the name is the only cool part of it, otherwise I agree, it's pretty bad. I hate the huge chunk of blue below the "B".

That's actually what I have been referring the Big Ten to....B10+2 & conversely the Big Twelve should be B12-2....trade names! Yea thats it!

I'm pretty sure the Atlantic 10 has 14 B Ball teams. At least the 'Big 10' isn't that far off. Yet.

Here's what I'd do for wrestling:

Gable Division: Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, Wisconsin
Kraft Division: Illinois, Indiana, Northwestern, Purdue
Peninger Division: Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State

Each team duals the other three teams in their division, and two of the four in each of the other two Divisions. An eighth date is reserved for a tri-meet, held on the last date of the primary allocation period (hosted by the four schools in one of the Divisions), where each team would wrestle the other two schools that finished in the place they finished in during the regular season.
