Can Stieber use his RS still, or too many competitions?
Jacob Schlottke---Gone too soon, and the world is a little less bright because of it. RIP, brother.
One, two, Evans is coming for you...
I would hope it hasnt been too many competitions. The season just started. I don't know what the rule is but if he's already met the criteria I think it should be changed.

Isn't he just about in the same situation that Burroughs was in last year (different inj. of course)? Burroughs was able to get the Med RS.
I havent run the numbers but I can't imagine that a medical rs would be a problem
Gold is an idiot.
My unofficial calculation indicates he'll qualify for the medical waiver. NCAA limits eligibility for the waiver to participation in 30% or less of the official schedule.
TOSU had a light schedule for November with a tri-meet on Nov 21 and 2 days at the CKLV. The Buffalo Open doesn't count. That's 3 wrestling days out of 15, 20% of the schedule.
As for using an Olympic Waiver for next year, the rules for eligibility have changed, he can't just say "I want one". I wouldn't count on him qualifying for it.
Life's not the breaths you take, the breathing in and out that gets you through the day ain't what it's all about. It's the moments that take your breath away.
As of October 2009, the NCAA and USOC had not yet settled on the criteria. At that time and I'm it will hold up in the future, The USOC will make recommendations to the NCAA for specific individuals. Now that was over 12 months ago, they've met twice since but haven't settled on the criteria as yet. Since it will affect the 2011/12 seasons, the rules will be finalized next spring, the latest.
I can tell you, no where near the numbers that received waivers for 04 and 08 will get them for 2012.

i believe OSU has 9 more duals and the National duals -he has wrestled 8 matches -does it count matches or days ? if they go 2 and out at ND's he will have wrestled close to 8 out of 17 possible matches .Roughly 45%-I hope he qualifies but the AD at OSU needs to perhaps schedule more than 11 duals and CK-
I was serious about Spoons going up-based on CK he won't come close to AAing at 57 -where he would be top 5 at 65 . The same with Onufer -he beat that Nebraska kid 4-2 and the NE KID was less than impressive against Minny .
