I wouldn't wanna be at 149 or 197 looking for a top 8 finish, hoping to get it easily. Taking 8th place at either of those weights, may just as well be like taking 3rd at any other. I can't weight to see 197 unfold, although from rumors I hear unfortunately that cradle master Phil Davis and the Greco-Roman throwing machine J.D. Bergman may both move up to heavyweight.
As far as 149 goes, Schlatter,
Metcalf and Gillispie seem to have stolen the show away from Churella. I don't know if that's such a wise assumption yet or not. Churella was in the finals last year and took 2nd. If he's anything like Ryan or papa, he wants to be in the finals again, and not bring home another silver medal. Schlatter,
Metcalf, Gillispie, Churella four names, plus the hope of some fans Palmer. Who knows maybe Morgan Adkitson in his final year as a road-runner may open up some eyes. Some Cornell fan is reading this right now in rage saying, "Why did everyone forget about Leen!" as a Hoosier is saying, "Leen who?!?! Coughlin will show those guys.". Personally, I'm sorta hoping Appalachian State Scott Ervin makes like a Mark Fee come March.
Someone said that 125 would be the hardest weight class to AA. I gotta agree with that. Seem's like that is the least "owned" weight of 2008.
