| Administrator ![]() | http://www.intermatwrestle.com/colle...ksNov1108.aspx Sentes and Brown up to #11 and #8 respectively at their weights. As mentioned already Kinser is up to #9 at 157. Welch enters those rankings at #16. Schlatter is still ranked although for how much longer who knows? Kilgore gets bumped up one spot to #13 Just some quick things that jumped out in a quick skim of the rankings. |

Not related to the rankings necessarily, it looks like Coughlin might be riding the pine this year for IU. According to the local scuttlebutt, neither Coughlin nor Kinser has certified at 149 and Young has a solid hold on 165. It's a pretty stunning turn of events since Coughlin AA'd as a freshman. It's good to have depth, but it's very tough for a team like IU, with a handful of true studs and some glaring holes as well. I feel really bad for Coughlin.

![]() | Matt Coughlin vs. Kurt Kinser With Team Escobedo leading 16-13, it all came down to the marquee match-up of the night; pitting 2007 All-American Matt Coughlin versus NCAA Qualifier Kurt Kinser in a 157-pound contest. There was little action early on. Both Hoosiers were attempting to gain upper body control, causing a stalemate. In fitting fashion, the match eventually was decided in an overtime period. Coughlin nearly got a takedown with five seconds left in regulation, but Kinser fended it off to force the extra time. The first seven minutes weren't enough to determine a winner, but it only took Kinser 25 seconds in OT to claim the win. Kinser converted a front headlock into a takedown on the very edge of the mat. Kinser's win knotted the team score at 16-16 for the night.

I really think goldman will bump Coughlin and Young and Perry up a wt.-they suck at 84 -Perry is a headcase -Coughlin could AA at 65 -look at his wins last year -also Young can do a decent job at 174 and Perry will be the same at 74 or 84 -can't break through-7-1 his freshman year in big 10 then 0-4 his sophomore year -got so bad he split time with Young-184 -197 they have zilch-who knows what Goldman will do ? This is why Dean cut out his senior year -Too much BS in the room -
