So I went to the Cliff Keen Vegas tourney website recently (www.cklvwrestle.com) and was thrilled to see that they moved the tournament back to Vegas after having it in Primm, NV for the past few years. (For those that don't know, Primm is about 45 min from Vegas on the state line of CA and NV, and there is nothing there).
I used to go to the Vegas Invitational religiously before they moved it since it's one of the best early season tournaments.
Anyways, Fanforlife and I were discussing a possible rendez-vous in Vegas this year and wanted to see if any other wrestling talk posters might be interested, since we get to see each other about once a year at NCAAs. (Especially the female contingency on these boards... but the guys are welcome too).
I know it's still almost 3 months away, but just throwing the idea out there.

I share your enthusiasm that the tourney moved back to Vegas. If you want a sport to get some exposure you certainly don't want to be holding it in Primm.
Alas, since my Gophers won't be there, I will most likely have to take a pass on this one.

Things needed.
More ad revenue, more Premium Service subscriptions. I work on a budget, we're not made of money out here, so if I have a bad month in terms of PS stuff, I might lose a trip out of it.
CKLV is also a pain to cover from what I hear ... then again, I've covered Fargo for nine years. I always put in the request, but that early in the season, I'm still ironing out things with the site from year to year.
I'd love to go, but I need to keep the site revenue stable. Hell, traffic's higher than it's ever been. But how does that relate to dollars to basically fund these trips.
Now if I hit the powerball, that would be another thing ... I'd go everywhere. Augustana vs. Nebraska-Kearney? Sure, I'll fly out there.
