Where is Paul Donahoe? I'm assuming Edinboro didn't just pick him up to wrestle in Open tournaments, so regardless of his eligibility early on he is still certainly a top 20.. especially after beating #4 Precin in the finals of the MSU Open..

Is this pretty standard though? I would imagine it probably is.

For me, it's going to be fun to watch Christian Brantley move up in these rankings over the course of the season.

I had heard he can't wrestle formally until after the break for some reason. (Donahoe) Maybe its a conference policy.

You cant rank someone who isnt wrestling, he'll be top four when he is able to officially start.

He is wrestling. He just won an Open and as common knowledge as his ineligibility for the first semester is it is just as well known that he will be available in the second term.

Escobedo is King until Nick beats him AGAIN. Sorry but it has to be that way for now....

I tend to agree; IMO defending champ should be an automatic #1 seed. Same goes for 184 lbs; I don't follow these things closely but it's my understanding that Jake Herbert actually got beaten by some of the 184 lb college wrestlers last year, it's not like he won the Olympics. Defending champ = top seed when the season starts.

Especially since these rankings probably weren't finished til after the MSU open because no one had Kinser rated above Moley -or even at 157 . Kurt went from 15th at Div 1 at 149 to 8th at 157 pretty damn quickly .

Some of that could be potential strength of those weight classes and obviously some of that is Kinser's performance. Would be great to see Kinser stay in that Top 8. If he does you know damn well there are going to be impressive pins along the way.
