This is from the Iowa Wrestling site: Competition is extremely fierce at the 133 and 141-pound weight classes. Daniel Dennis won the wrestle-off at 133 pounds and will see most of the mat time in the early going. Not sure if he wrestled Slaton yet though.

That would have been my guess. There would have been more news had Dennis actually beaten Slaton in the wrestle off although don't be shocked if it happens. If its a weight issue and they want to bring Slaton along slowly I give Iowa credit. If you have the luxury of a Daniel Dennis in the short run you use it. That's smart of Iowa in my opinion knowing that I am sure he could make the weight, he might not be 100%. I think Reiter had issues last year with weight and loss some early season matches that he could have won. It affected his seeding at Big Tens although he pulled through and gutted it out at NCAA's.
