How many matches would he have to wrestle to be considered? Assuming whenever he does start wrestling he runs the table in the same dominating fashion he did a couple of years ago.
I don't know if there is a minimum, but I think he probably is unlikely to be considered due to missing an entire semester, unless there is no undefeateds and he still manages to pins bunches of kids.
Jacob Schlottke---Gone too soon, and the world is a little less bright because of it. RIP, brother.
One, two, Evans is coming for you...
He'll also be hurt on the Strength of Schedule front. Assuming he returns January 4th at Bloomsburg, the rest of their regular season schedule is at Rider, Anderson, Mercyhurst, Campbell, North Dakota State, at VMI, at Virginia, Campbell again, Ohio, Duke, at Oklahoma State, at North Carolina, Old Dominion, at Virginia Tech, The Citadel, and Maryland. 149 certainly is not overly imposing at all of those schools, and losing the likely five matches at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational and the five-six matches at the Southern Scuffle are going to hurt him in the strength of schedule regard, in addition to the number of matches in his overall body of work. The only Intermat top-20 wrestlers in that schedule are Jamal Parks (Oklahoma State) and Brian Stephens (Virginia Tech). Not exactly murderers row.
