Which bout are you finding most to difficult a winner? Me, Leen v Vallimont, but I'm leening toward Vallimont. Full line-ups 125- #2 Troy Nickerson (Cornell) vs #3 Charlie Falck (Iowa) 133- #1 Joey Slaton (Iowa) vs #2 Jayson Ness (Minnesota) 141- #1 J Jaggers (Ohio State) vs #2 Nick Gallick (Iowa State) 149- #1 Brent Metcalf (Iowa) vs #2 Bubba Jenkins (Penn State) 157- #1 Jordan Leen (Cornell) vs #3 Dan Vallimont (Penn State) 165- #1 Nick Marable (Missouri) vs #2 Mack Lewnes (Cornell) 174- #1 Steve Luke (Michigan) vs #2 Jay Borschel (Iowa) 184- #1 Mike Pucillo (Ohio State) vs #3 Phil Keddy (Iowa) 197- #1 Jake Varner (Iowa State) vs #2 Hudson Taylor (Maryland) 285- #1 Jake Rosholt (Oklahoma State) vs #3 Kyle Massey (Wisconsin)

Another way to put it would be to say if you had to bet your lifesavings in order to get your money back that you lost in the market the last 9 months, which match would you lay your money on. I don't feel 100% about any of them but if I had to pick someone to win their match it would be Metcalf over Jenkins for me. I think all of the other matches could realistically go either way not knowing who is struggling to make weight and who is in better shape at this point. Should be a fun one as usual.

None of them are actually that hard for me to pick, but there are a ton where it could easily go either way. Here would be my list from most confident to least 149: Metcalf 197: Varner HVY: Rosholt 133: Ness 157: Vallimont 141: Jaggers 184: Pucillo 174: Luke 125: Falck 165: Lewnes There are only two matches that I feel genuinly safe in picking and those are varner over hudson and metcalf over jenkins. Probably I would be more surprised if any of these 8 other matches WERENT close (I.e. if jaggers beat gallick by 7) then I would if half my picks were wrong.

Is Marable's arrest going to determine whether he stil wrestles ? If this event is to showcase the 'best' our sport has to offer do we want a kid who just got locked up for a street fight representing us -a similar case arosewhen Alan Iverson threw a chair at someone in a bowling alley and was suspended from playing in an all-star game . What -alot of if's here-Dennis beats Slaton in wrestleoffs ? If it is an all star event , how would you introduce Slaton -a kid who got stuck quickly in last years finals and now wrestles reserve 133 for Iowa ... |

I think 125 is gonna be tough, although I say Nickerson takes it. EDIT: My bad about the wrestle off results I just posted, they were wrong. My mistake! Last edited by Crazylaughboy; 11-07-2008 at 07:30 PM. |

If this is about the best wrestlers, then yes, allow the guy whop got locked up to compete. I don't see how that offense takes away from his wrestling prowess. If this is about pretending that we have a sport where no one gets in trouble, no one drinks, does drugs, poses nude on porn sites, etc., then hold him out and we can all play along as if we have a clean sport.
