In my opinion, Troy Steiner should coach at NDSU

NDSU beats another school with half their starters out and it is held up as an example of how well the program is doing.

Not even close.

Bucky needs to retire and the school needs to hire North Dakota native Troy Steiner, currently the head assistant to Jim Zalesky at Oregon State.

Get Steiner and watch the program grow so they can be competitive with these better teams at full strength. The worst thing that could happen to NDSU wrestling is for Bucky's kid to take over the program. A disaster in the making.

Put Bucky out to pasture, promote him to an office or something, but get a new coach and watch the program improve. Steiner is the best fit but there are a host of excellent coaches ready to apply when the job is announced. So, Announce is soon, NDSU.

Based only on watching him coach at their dual with UNI last year and at the West Regional, I personally think that NDSU has a diamond in the rough with Roger Kish.

Again, from a limited amount of experience in watching him coach, he just seems to have everything that a young coach and an upstart team needs.

The timing of this post is a bit off considering NDSU just beat CMU Saturday without Troy Steiner.

Exactly. Just think what they would have done WITH Steiner. They would have obliterated the entire school of Central Michigan off the map.

Nice to see the Bison get the win.

Seems like they've always had a strong DII program and the transition to D1 is incredibly hard - no team has done it with any success. What am I missing here? Why so much hate for the current staff?
