    Default Biggest story so far?

What to you has been the most important/interesting development of the season so far that you might not have anticipated before the season started?

Mine would have to be PSU looking like a team with a title shot.
I've been especially impressed by their freshmen: Alton, Taylor, and Ruth. If Pataky makes it back to the level he's competed at that gives them around 8 guys with aa chances and a few with shots at titles.

What's the big story for you?

Caldwell and Smith being favorites in their weights but no guarantees they get healthy enough to prove it. I like LeBlancs slow rise to a possible #1 ranking and a possible NCAA title. He's a great story if you read about his families history in the sport and the high school he's from.

Does anything really compare to three-peat champs Iowa opting to not wrestle in the National Duals, a mere 90 miles away?
    UNI Panthers...Because it's just right.

As I said in the previous post "anything we might not have anticipated before the start of the season."

We've known since Summer Iowa wasn't going.

    So that's out...

Biggest story so far is that Cornell is ranked #1 with very little controversy over that ranking.
When was the last time a school outside the Big Ten/Big Five was ranked #1?

I'm thinking Stieber, given his dominance so far. I'm more excited to see how he does this year than any other freshman (Taylor and Alton being close seconds).

I may be in the minority so far but for me the biggest story is the freshmen class. While I expected big things from them I had no idea that they would come out of the gate this strong. I figured there would be a learning curve for them.

I agree with this here, and this ties in well with the Penn State situation (although I didn't think it was that unexpected that they were going to be good) since arguably their two most impressive wrestlers thus far have both been freshmen in Andrew Alton and David Taylor.

Trying to figure out wtf is going on w Bubba is a pretty big story. Losing to an NAIA kid and then majoring the #1 ranked kid a week later is quite the enigma
