Thread: David Craig out at Lehigh?

Default David Craig out at Lehigh?

With the question about Marcel Dubose it made me think about David Craig. I didn't see him listed in the top 20 anymore after he was listed there a couple of weeks ago. As far as Lehigh's website goes however he is still listed there. I know he had academic issues last year so was just curious if someone could confirm that he is still a "go" at this time.

As far as I know, he's still a go.

That is good to know. A little disappointing that he can't crack the Top 20 when he made round of 12 as a freshman two years ago. Oh well, when you sit out a year I suppose you have to "earn" that ranking back.

He still looks good. Having a bit of a rough go at the moment. He had some good matches at the Northeast duals last weekend. He got pinned by the wrestler from Binghamton. That guy looked good but I think it was a stamina issue more than anything. He got caught in a cradle that was the last in a series of pinning combinations. Shouldn't have happened. It looked like he was really tired. I'd like to see that match as part of a dual. I think it would be a great one.

He's ranked No. 15 by Intermat. His lone loss is to no.14, Patterson from Binghamton.
Life's not the breaths you take, the breathing in and out that gets you through the day ain't what it's all about. It's the moments that take your breath away.

No truth whatsoever. Had a few setbacks last year (summer surgery and academics). Changed major, added some muscle. I've watched most of the Lehigh matches this year and he looks very good so far, with the exception of the loss to a Patterson. Not sure how the pin transpired, but Patterson appears to be good. He beat Bomberger (PSU) 16-1 earlier this year. Should be wrestling in Vegas this weekend.

And not sure what rankings you are looking at but..

    InterMat - #15
    WrestlingReport - #10
    D1CW - #13
    W.I.N - #15

It would surprise me if he didn't AA this year.

Patterson is a very good wrestler who has been somewhat overlooked because he goes to a small time program. He lost to keddy 4-1 last weekend and he teched bomberger earlier in the year.

Curious as to what the score was before craig got cradled.

I believe it was 0-0, and then Craig got taken down to his back.
