Lets get this one on paper right now.
Double or nothing on my 12 pack that I have not charged you intrest on? (I forgot how many months past due you are)

Really? I guess I can take the bet but as I said, the mixed 12 pack is sitting on top of my refrigerator. You have actually already earned it so I feel as if you are already owed this. My issue has been shipping since no one really wants to ship it when they find out its beer...LOL.
I will take the bet however and since I do owe you interest then I guess we'll have to make another bet to settle that. You are taking Hall versus the entire field at 157?

they had m* at 157 last year. Also I just feel like MEtcalf would want another crack at schlatter if the opportunity presented itself, but maybe you're right.
How many times did askren bump up to 184 before he went up and beat kish at national duals?

negative I said sherfey is better then chris brown. give credit where credit is due, I took Moley last year when no one really knew anything about him and he ended up being an all-american. He's a solid, solid guy.

Had Dustin beat him last year maybe you'd have a point, but Metcalf seems to have gotten the "last word" in their rivalry.

Askren didn't go up to 84 just for shits and giggles, that was a move to try and win the dual for them.
As much as I hate to say it, given the way the two teams prospectively match up right now on paper in a dual meet format Iowa isn't going to need to bump Metcalf up to try and knock off Dustin to beat the Gophers.

Well, its certain that we will have a better candidate at 149 to go up against Metcalf then Mr. Mellmer.
I like our match-up with Iowa next year since there is really no pressure on us to win it.
125 Sanders v Falck
133 Ness v Slaton
141 Thorn v Tsirtsis/LeClere
149 Mason v Metcalf
157 DS v Morningstar
165 Saf v Covington
174 Glasser v Borschel
184 Yohn v Keddy
197 Eidensheink/Geiger v Beatty/Lofthouse/Johnson
Hwt Berhow v Erekson
Not saying we are going to win but I like this young team to go out and get some experience early versus Iowa this year and then possibly see them again at Duals and then again at Big Ten. Anyone else think we try to field a stronger team with Saf at 165 and Glasser at 174. Doesn't make sense to put one of those two on the bench and then start someone like Kaleb Young at 174. Whomever loses the wrestle-off goes up in my opinion. I also like our chances in the last two weights so if we can pull out a win at 157 maybe we can swing a win or two.

Re: 157lbs
125: Falck dec
133: Ness dec
141: I'd like to see thorn wrestle before I make a call here, but they wrestled two years ago and thorn got pinned.
149: Metcalf by dismantling
157: Schlatter by dec (He could major if he finds his offense at his new weight)
165: Saf by dec
174: Borschel by major
184: Keddy by major
197: Iowa
HVY: This is one of the few matchups in the meet I see being competitive at this point (Obviously my perspective might change once I see some of these young guys wrestle)
Right now I like berhow, he showed a lot of potential last year.
Minnesota has very little chance at winning this dual or even keeping it close, but hopefully ness will be able to show slaton whats up

Re: 157lbs
Well if you are giving Minny 133, 157 and 165 and as far as I am concerned we have just as much talent at 197 and Heavy how do you think we can't keep it close? Just wondering?

Because I see Iowa picking up bonus points at a lot of weights. Also consider that ness could lose to slaton but theres no way that metcalf/borschel/keddy/tshirts are going to lose (unless thorn has improved DRAMATICALLY). That means they have four that are pretty much locked so all they have to do is win one of the remaining 6 matches and they will win the dual. Even if we won both heavy and 197 and swept the matches we are favored in sanders would still have to upset falck
Maybe it will end up being close but I think Iowa takes this by at least 6 or so
