Regarding Iowa's 33 situation: Not only would they all start at other programs, I think they all are AA contenders as well.
To avoid criticism say nothing, do nothing, be nothing.

Thanks for clarification, my one gigantic question is why oh why did Clark leave ISU???????? Was it because of Long? Now he goes from 75% chance of AAing for ISU to backup pom-pommer for the Hawks

    I'm guessing:

    1) His coach and staff left, probably a big reason why he went there
    2) Like everyone else outside of the hawk room, nobody had any idea McDonough was going to be this good

Ramos wins by tech last night.

Carew and Dziewa apparently not wrestling per the Hawk board, probably injury related.

I did. Heard of McD after his sophomore year, and saw him when he was a senior in HS went I went back home for National Duals. Knew he was going to be really good. I actually told an Ivy League coach about McD (and his 4.0 grade avg.), but as you say, that coach wasn't all that interested.
    Add to your list:
    3) Iowa had the specific academic programs that Clark desired.

I know he had credentials coming out of high school, but Clark nor most of anyone else thought at the time of his transfer:

    1) McD would be at 125 instead of 133
    2) Kick everyone's butt and be a freshman national champ
