Thread: Hodge Predictions

Kennedy has been pretty good in the past with getting bonus (including the famous 17-0 tech fall of 2x AA Steve Bell) but like you say the the Big 3 guys at 141 in the Big 10 are all close enough to where they all probably knock each other off at some time through out the season.

Mack Lewnes should be the clear favorite going into the season.

Edit: I'll add this in here that if he stays healthy and wrestles the entire year (which I don't think happens) your Hodge front runner is probably Darrion Caldwell. Two big ifs involved with him though.

When Lewnes is on, he's great. But he's underwhelmed me at Nationals.

QW pinned him this summer, headlock. Also beat him with a TD with seconds left.

Quentin Wright also wrestles a completely different weight class than he does.

I fail to see how those two matches have anything to do with Mack's Hodge chances this year.

Read one of my earlier posts.

They wrestled the same class this summer.
All I said was that FOR ME it took him down a notch.
    Just my perception, nothing else.

I like Howe to win the Hodge. I think it's his to lose.

I think Simaz has a real shot at this weight. His weight is practically barren, he could start pinning a bunch of these guys. Anyway, if any of these guys (Howe, Lewnes, McD, Simaz) develop a real pinning mentality, they'll probably run away with it.

No chance Kennedy or Russel get it, neither bonus enough, and you must remember that Mike Thorn(reigning champ) is also in their conference.
    RE: McD-No.
RE:141-Yea you said that. Not impressed with Thorn that much. Just a gut feeling Kennedy will step up.

You must have high standards if winning a Big 10 championship doesn't impress you that much.

Thorn has shown he can hang with anyone, to write him off is foolish and he is an impressive guy to watch.

Beating Reece Humphrey is easier said than done.
To avoid criticism say nothing, do nothing, be nothing.
