From what I understand, Gillespie is going to '57, and Herbert is taking an Olympic redshirt.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Letts win 174, FWIW.

I had thought it was confirmed that Herbert was redshirting and Gillispie was moving up to 157. I like your picks even if at times it seems you are picking what you would like to see, instead of what is likely to happen.
Also I think Flanagan from Harvard is a Junior.
My darkhorse is Joe Fendone, Hvy from Edinboro. Moved up to Heavy last year from 197 and had a couple wins at nationals. I have never seen him wrestle but I am pulling for him because he is from New Hampshire

My guy won, but Lett's gave him all he had. Unfortunately my guy, and I'll let you guess who it was, was eliminated from the tournament by Dan Burke I believe. He should have been an AA, would have been the School's last, if he had.
Anyway, best of luck to Lett's this year. He might win it all. Then again, maybe Rudy Rueda might win it all too, just had someone email me that as much as I know about wrestling, I'm an idiot to leave him off my AA list.

Sometimes I'm right. I picked Alex Clemsen this year. Then again, I had a few let downs too.
I'm usually pretty good at the elgibility of the wrestlers, although sometimes I'm off a year or two. Flannegan is only going to be a junior, you're right.
I didn't know about Herbert, but I'll note that now.
Anyway, Fendone seems pretty good to me. All Heavyweight matches at the NCAA's seem to come down to scores of 3-2. maybe he can be 3 instead of 2.

So far I'm hearing that Bergman is going up to HWT. The word is that he's up to 230 and working at the OTC with the HWT's. Anyone know if this is true? Someone also mentioned that Davis was moving up to HWT too.....any word on that one?
If so that completely changes the landscape of both weight classes.

Cannon (Only a sophomore) will CERTAINLY be in the hunt at 165. Kid is a monster on top.
K. Borshoff (Also a soph.) will also be a contender for AA at 141. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
