Got to say its a surprising move to see him head to Michigan State especially this early.
For all the faults that Michigan State has though they've proven that they can help blue chip lightweights find success with the Simmons brothers and Gomez as examples.

Re: Freddie Rodriguez to Michigan State If I recall, MSU is poised to have a decent year (by their standards) this year. They return Cheza, Jones and Osterman. The MichiganGrappler.com guy was telling me they have a couple decent guys coming up, too.
Needless to say I expect them to finish in the bottom half of the Big 10, but perhaps there is potential for some spartan success next year.

Re: Freddie Rodriguez to Michigan State So he's a sophomore who slaughters without weights. He'll probably start lifting when it gets closer to the time but as of right now he doesn't need them. Weights won't make him taller which is part of why he doesnt weigh very much. Not that weights wouldn't help him bulk up though.
