    Default Marshall Peppleman @ 157?

Can anyone shed some light on whether Pep will try to cut down to 57 or compete for a spot @ 65?( which would be a TALL task) I think if Pep cant make 57 then Meagher or Shanaman will be competing for the spot.

The lineup looks much better with Pep @ 57 and Kerber at 65; what do you guys think?

Thought I heard there was no way he could make it and that he'd wrestle off for 165.

Here's my take. Peppelman weighed around 185 during the Cornell camps this summer. Several people in the room said he would not be at 157. One of these people is on the coaching staff. The Cornell wrestling update released by Rob Koll this weekend has Peppelman listed at 165 in the season preview and on the roster. It just doesn't seem that likely, but November is still far away.

Here's the link to Koll's update:

Thanks for the info gobigred. Do you mean it doesn't seem likely he can make the cut to 165? I would say it depends on the person, it's definitely possible for some to make huge cuts. Johny Hendricks used to cut to 165 from over 200 lbs according to him. JD Bergman cuts a ton of weight to make 96kg.

In reading my post, I see I wasn't very clear. I meant that based on everything I've heard from good sources, I don't expect him to cut to 157. I do expect him at 165.
