Thread: 157 at Big 10

    Default 157 at Big 10

    In no particular order

Yes 0 AA's among them, but I believe we'll look back on this weight as one with a few multiple time AA's and a few national champs sprinkled in(all but kinser imo)

    Derek St. John
    David Taylor
    Jake Deitchler
Colt Sponseller(will this cut really be such a good idea?)
    Jason Welch
    Kurt Kinser

Nationally this weight gets no easier

    Bubba J
    Adam Hall
    Steve Fittery
    Justin Lister
    Gaethe
    Saddoris.

This in my opinion is going to be the most exciting weight of the entire year.

I thought St. John was going 165?

Not according to every source I've heard/read. Kerr/Jannsen to man 165.

The plan seems to be DSJ mans it this year, Kerr and Jansen graduate, DSJ goes 65 and Nick moore goes 57 for the next few years.

65 is quite thin this year at big 10. Howe then...big drop off...Young? Kerr? Dare I say Conrad Polz? Yikes.

Lots of good hawk info on this thread. Poster( nwiowahawkeye)quotes Brands about 3/4s of the page down. Mcd weighed out at 128 at end of a practice apparently.

The IU rumor mill has Kinser and Young both dropping a weight class--KINSER=149-YOUNG =157//Paul could make 157 easily but Kurt would really struggle to make 149.

This makes sense. The predictions of 8 All Americans that I waded through while looking at your link in your other post not so much.

Should be a nice battle for the 157 spot between Moore and Baldosaro when both come off of redshirt in two years.

That guy was being admittedly optimistic and looking through his hawk glasses.

Baldy apparently will be able to go 49 as well so we may see him there not 57, but who knows.
