133- Don't understand hutter ranked so high. Some good wins but I think Rollie and Paddock arent ranked high enough. Also, at 133, you'd have to be crazy to not put Clark/Moore ahead of those guys. I mean one on one those would be good matches, but 2 against 1 at this level is nearly insurmountable.

141- I really dont see Bailey as a title threat here but I suppose he earned the ranking so whatever. Ballweg ranked 27th, don't think that means anything really though.

149-Disagree w/ White being ranked 7th, but whatever. Mason not ranked high enough either. Those rankers need to watch his demolition of Brian Stephens at Midlands and they'll feel dumb. There are quite a few young guns that I think will storm onto the scene and take out the White/Nadhir/Chezas of the world.

157-Id put Bubba over Hall but ok. Strange that Cocozzo an ex R12'er is 16th behind Jake Kerr, Yates, etc?

More to come...later, i did get bored while my wife was getting ready...that didnt take long.
One thing to point out is Hoffman beat Ballweg at the UNI open two years ago something like 16-4. Cannot remember the exact score. Hoffman wrestled 141 last year with a win over Cole Schmitt, while Ballweg wrestled 133 and they have him ranked below Ballweg. Doesn't make much sense.

David Taylor is ranked way too low at #10. Who seriously thinks this kid won't AA this year??

I dont think the wrestlingreport people think he'll finish that low. It's a matter of rankings and they have to be "earned." DT's biggest win at the D1 level is still only Daryl Cocozzo. He'll get up there, but he'll have to beat a few guys. 10 is the 2nd highest ranking for a freshmen on these rankings(I think) behind Kirk Smith.

I think he'll contend for the title. Bubba v. DT final anyone? Oh the drama!

Nate Moore owns a win over Sentes last season and took Hochstrasser to SV so I don't think it is ridiculous at a "bare minimum." He was just a freshman last season so maybe this year he will be a little more consistent.

If you want to bury Sentes, that's fine I guess. That match actually had slipped my mind when I made the comment.

But I still don't see how one good win and a good loss make you ranked 8th.

Tell me how Rasing/Johnson "earned" a #16 ranking ahead of Wisc Sr #22 Bugenhagen who was 4th in the Big Tens. Don't you have to have accomplished something to be ranked?

These are predictions or rating, but certainly not rankings.

Wait, you're telling me JAMMEN came into a thread and his sole contribution is to complain about a Hawkeye's ranking? And a somewhat insignificant one at that? SHOCKING!

Personally, I just don't see it from Gambrall like everyone else seems to. Far too inconsistent. Flashes of brilliance, and then flashes of "WTF?" Hope I'm wrong.
Jacob Schlottke---Gone too soon, and the world is a little less bright because of it. RIP, brother.

A ridiculously insignificant one at that.

If you're going to jump on a Hawkeye ranking here, like you point out Gambrall's is probably the one you're most justified in doing so.

Yep, clearly Bugenhagen should be poised for a top 15 ranking with his sub .500 record. Never mind the fact that Rasing has a win over Marone, and Tony Nelson and took the national champ to SV, and was able to take down Rosholt.

If you rank 33 guys there are going to be some slip ups. I could find much worse than Blake Rasing at 16th. Not that you even analyzed anything other than hawks(maybe you looked over Minnesota, but that would distract you from your hawk hatred)

Why don't you break down the weights and actually provide some thought and insight instead of pointing out one item of insignificance? I think I know why.
