Does this mean now that we can excuse the Minnesota Mongoose's performance last year due to "wind" problems that were brought about by injuries? Perhaps he can get a clean slate this year with time to heal the knee and come back and be the Darth Schlatter Jensens and I know him to be.

And as always, it comes back to Minnesota.

hehehe, would you expect anything less?

Re: Raymond Jordan-174?
I am just pointing out a possible correlation. Everyone is pretty quick to defend Mr. Jordan's performances at Nationals the past two years, just want some love for Mr. Schlatter if he has a good start to 2009 and is seemingly over his malaise of the last two years.

Re: Raymond Jordan-174?
malaise-a vague feeling of bodily discomfort
(That's for Big if he wonders what that word is. I thought he might think I was saying mayonaise)

I understand that, just making a correlation. When people were talking about Mr. Jordan, and trust me, I am a big fan of his, it reminded me of Mr. Schlatter's performances the last year. I was making note that most people seem to give Mr. Jordan the benefit of the doubt and are looking for him to have a big year. Just thought it interesting then that a guy who takes 1st, 3rd and 7th his first three years can't get any love even though people know what type of skill sets he has and that if it was an injury that has held him back and if that injury is healed, that he, like Mr. Jordan, could have a very big year again. That's all.

I have to laugh because according to Gophersports.com this morning when you pull up their wrestling tab and then the roster, Mr. Schlatter is shown as a two time NCAA champ. His freshman year they show him accurately at 42-1 and his sophomore year they show him at 37-1 which is accurate but then when they show his NCAA placing his sophomore year they show a (1st) behind it. Guess they need to do a little editing.
That being said, 79-2 should buy the kid some street cred.
