No one took more heat than I did over even suggesting he was in the conversation about 30 days ago.

Yes, I sem to remember folks thinking that Thorn was "not a realistic threat" at the time of that thread. Definitely not the case now. Amazing what a little momentum at the right time will do for some of these kids. The proof however is in the pudding.

141 is going to be mayhem. The most intruiging weight at the tournet this year IMO.

I think I've got a decent grasp of the concept of 'ranking'. Earlier this year Thorn's ranking might have been "optimistic" based on his accomplishments thus far. But I don't think it quite rose to the level of "criminal".

Then again, I can see how someone who thought he was overrated as a wrestler might have had their judgement clouded - and might have exaggerated a bit.

    I'll agree to disagree.

Jason Bryant whos freakin career is covering wrestling is saying that the ranking was incorrect/undeserved. I think I'll trust the professionals.

Apparently you don't trust the professionals at Intermat...

Yeah, just as much as I trust the professionals at WIN magazine who ranked how many guys who were KNOWN to be redshirting?

Hey you're the one who said you'd trust the pros about rankings, not me.

It just doesn't make sense when you're arguing about how you disagree with the rankings. Maybe you just meant that you trust Jason Bryant unequivocally--at least since the last time you disagreed with him vociferously. I think you really mean that you'll trust whoever agrees with you at the moment.

With that said, I don't care about this topic. I just posted to keep you honest/stir the pot.

EDIT: I also agree that Thorn was overranked at the time.

I typically have found myself on the opposite end of Jason on sort of ethical debates about how wrestling fans should spend their money or invest in the sport, etc. On matters of actual wrestling opinions i havent known us to disagree that much.
