We had zero champs last year. I'd say they lose plenty..

True, but for most of this particular team, they are ranked rather highly, so picking them to win individual matches isn't really homerism. I mena, if you're predicting Aaron Jannsen to beat JP O'Connor, yeah, you're being a homer. If you pick Matt McDonough to beat Angel Escobedo, that's semi-defensible, but definitely homerish. If you pick Dan Dennis to beat Jayson Ness, that's perfectly reasonable. You picking up what I'm putting down?

I smell what you're steppin in brother.

How about saying Chad Beatty is better than Hudson Taylor? Just one I came up with off the top of my head..

That's exactly what I am saying. It's just that I'm not a lawyer so I cannot articulate or lie that well.

I think this falls into the McDonough over Escobedo category. Semi-defensible, but definitely homerish.

I'd disagree that it's in the McD esco category. Hudson has like 150 career matches and I know the only reason were having this discussion is the common opponent of Trevor Brandvold. I don't think that paints the full picture.

They also faced each other head to head last year, and Taylor won a 6-2 decision. Meanwhile, this year they're relatively closely ranked (Beatty 4th, Taylor 3rd on Intermat).
