The most likely to be a pro wrestling heel award for Thorn made me laugh, I'll admit it.

Double Leg: I like the pick here by va of Angel Escobedo. Were he healthy this would obviously be Burroughs but I'm going to keep mine to guys who aren't injured and aren't redshirting.

High Crotch:For the third year in a row this is Brent Metcalf. Its not something that he seemingly relies upon all the time, early in matches he'll go with his single leg and his front headlock offense but as matches go on you'll see him transition to this and when he does they're pretty.

Single Leg: I like two guys here. In terms of best overall I'd have to go with Tyler Graff. He's just fantastically technical with his shots, just very smooth. Dustin Kilgore is probably the best guy in the country at just the snatch/high single variety. He'd be even better if he consistently cleared people's hands before he shot.

Reshots: Again were he healthy this would be Jordan Burroughs but since he isn't I've got to go with Dustin Schlatter. People don't shoot on him very often but when they do he almost always capitalizes with offense of his own.

Ankle Pick: If you were able to see the Iowa State v. Cornell match yesterday I don't know how you could say someone here other than Jake Varner. Unreal ankle pick when he decides to use it.

Duck Under: Going with Kyle Dake here and perhaps the most impressive thing about how good he is with the duck under is that most of the time when he hits it he's not even tying up with guys.

    Slide By:

Upper Body Offense: Like with the single leg I've got multiple guys here for different reasons. The first one is Andrew Long because the under hook to knee block is sweet. Second one is Kurt Kinser because the lefty headlock is sweet. Last one is Alan Gelogaev because the leglace throw is really sweet.

    Inside Trip:

    Front Headlock:

    Leg Defense:

    Funk:

Half: Jayson Ness.Maybe the easiest choice here on the entire list.

    Arm Bar:

    Cradle:

    Leg Riding:

    Tilts:

    Crab Ride:

    Turk:

Stand Up: Its still Phil Keddy here. After he graduates it'll be Alex Meade.

    Gas Tank:

    Strongest:

    Most Athletic:

Best Freshman: Best true freshman is Kyle Dake, best redshirt freshman is Matt McDonough.

Underrated: Again I like va's call here of Craig Brester. Lost one match to someone NOT named Jake Varner over the last two years and puts up a ton of bonus points. Were it not for Jake Varner he would likely wind up graduating this year as a 2x National Champion.

Most Improved: I said in my All American predictions that we'd found our guy here in Nathan Everhart. Very middle of the road heavyweight last year, so far this year he's undefeated and has won both the Vegas and Scuffle tournaments.

    Best Match:

Best Future Match Up: Like others have said so far I want to see Mack Lewnes v. Jay Borschel.

    Best Overall:

I'll do the ones that I've left blank later today. I think this is a decent start.

Jensen you should start a freestyle/greco version of this thread on the international board.

I would love to, the issue is that I don't know if I'd be able to come up with as many categories as I did here.

I'll give it a shot though I guess.

Keddy got ridden badly twice this year - once by Cannon and I can't think of the 2nd one but I think it was national duals. I think it's time to pass the "stand up" torch - though I don't have anyone to take his place.

You make a good point there. Cannon absolutely housed him at Midlands (Askren did as well, don't know how much riding went on though).

Like you say though, hard to come up with another guy from the current crop.
