Ironside said stitches and a black eye but otherwise ok. Purdue coaches apologized and said Fertucci would be sitting the next match

Peyton's became infected (becoming a more common occurrence due to over use of antibiotics ) ,whereas 90% of Bursa sac injuries can be drained or rested .
I was at PT once and this female gymnast came in and her knee was scary to look at -loked like a water balloon was growing out of the side of her knee -they drained it and she was fine -Just watching the HUMONGOUS needle they use is the bad part -they use about a 22 gauge and a bulb syringe to catch all the water -then they test to see if it is infected .
also known as water on the knee it is quite common among wrestlers and gymnasts .

And YES Herk-I've had mine drained several times . As long as there exists no infection Luke should be OK.
STAPH infections are on the rise however -such as Iowa's 133 is experiencing -and these can turn DEADLY quickly -THAT is why mat maintenance is crucial-especially using anti fungals in the water mop water .It was the Staff infection that got Peyton -he lost 15 lbs and was sick as a dog .

Division I guys probably aren't real used to getting pinned and in some instances will just react and not go willingly. Not really sure again what Iowa wants here? They got the DQ, they got the coaches apology...

I am not sure Mellmer HAS any "rough stuff" in having watched him wrestle for three years.

The nice part is that there is probably a REALLY solid chance a guy like Fetucci is going to have to wrestle Metcalf in the first round of the Big X tournament. Enough said.

The Purdue guys name is Bertucci and he is 20-10 and a decent wrestler -if disciplinary actions are called for Hinkle will not hesitate to boot him . They have little PTAX and he is ok-

Fetucci-Fetuccini, Bertucci...I agree. There will be consequences. This just makes Metcalf's legacy stronger. He's tough as hell.
