Tickets for Kids update

Some of you are aware of my "Tickets for Kids" project. If not - here's the short version - I'm raising money to buy and give away tickets to kids for the Saturday, March 6th morning session of the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships in Cedar Rapids. My goal is 1,000 kids and so far we've raised enough for 600. Tickets go on sale Friday, February 5th and I am beginning to take ticket requests. The NCAA will not allow me to give tickets to high school wrestlers, but if you know of a youth club that would like to come to Cedar Rapids and watch some exciting college wrestling email me at jim@dmsolutions4u.com.

Are you associated with a college? You would think that you could give tickets to high school kids so long as you were not recruiting.

I do love this idea and I really wish that I could help out. If I can find room in our Feb budget I'll send you some money. Great idea.

Thanks for the kind words. Believe me, the NCAA looked hard at this before allowing me to do it and they handed down that stipulation. The only thing I can think of is that because my daughter is a Cornell College grad and the Rams are one of the host schools there might be the appearance of impropriety.

I'm just glad you're doing it. I hope it goes well.
