    Andrew Long v. Chris Notte

1st Period: Notte out moving really quick from the outside, lot of body fakes...Long dives in for a low single but Notte blocks it off. Notte with another low single attempt, comes up in an underhook and tries his knee block but they go out. Another low single attempt by Long but he's blocked off...Long takes another shot, Notte close to dragging behind, but Long keeps wrestling and manages to work out of bounds. Shot attempt now by Notte, and Long with a pretty easy go behind for the TD...2-0 Long. Notte works away quickly for the escape...2-1 Long with 1:06 to go. Notte with another shot attempt, stays down on his knees on the edge and Long drives into him and comes up on top for another TD...4-1 Long. Period ends 4-1 Long.

2nd Period: 53 seconds riding time for Long to start the period...he's starting on bottom. Notte chops down hard off the whistle, but stays down on his hip for too long and Long power switches out and then goes behind for the reversal...6-1 Long. Long now riding with a high half. Notte taking injury time after they go out of bounds. Notte up hard off the bottom off the restart and he picks up the escape...6-2 Long. Long with an ankle pick attempt, works into a front headlock down to the mat. Fakes going one way and then spins behind the other way for the TD...8-2 Long. Long now working a tilt with the half and then works out to the side and nearly sticks Notte but he gets saved by the buzzer...11-2 Long as the period ends.

3rd Period: Notte starts down. Long lets him go without much in the way of resistance...11-3 Long. Notte warned for stalling, continues to limp badly on his right leg seems to be favoring the hamstring. Long snaps down, then works a nice head pitch to go behind for the TD...13-3 Long, Long looking to go bar, then go big cookie, then go hammerlock from the top. Finally cuts Notte away to make it 13-4...Notte with a bad shot from too far away and gets taken down and Long gives him the escape...15-5 Long, and picks up another one for stalling...16-5 Long. Long with a low single attempt off the whistle, Notte whizzers hard but Long slips behind and is awarded the TD at the buzzer. He adds riding time as well.

Andrew Long maj Chris Notte 19-5 (although for some reason the announcers said it was a tech? so I may have missed something)

    4-0 Iowa State

According to live stats Notte got hit with an unsportsmanlike penalty at the end of the second so that does make the final score a 20-5 tech fall for Long.

    5-0 Iowa State.

    Nick Fanthorpe v. Jordan Oliver

1st Period: Oliver out quick in on a single leg, circles his hips around and then pops his head out to pick up a nice TD...2-0 Oliver. Fanthorpe away for the escape now without a ton in the way of resistance from Oliver...2-1 Oliver. Oliver with a throw by and is awarded the TD as they go out of bounds doing a nice job dragging his feet...4-1 Oliver. Oliver working a little harder from top this time around, doing a nice job staying with Fanthorpe so far. Oliver doing a really nice job right now riding with a tight waist and a head lever...Fanthorpe works to his feet, peeling the hands, but Oliver trips him off the mat and doesn't give up the escape. Thought Oliver could have been hit for not returning there. Fanthorpe tries to step over off a restart but the period ends 4-1 Oliver.

2nd Period: Oliver starting down...announcers are talking about how that might have been Oliver's best period so far this year and given what I've seen I'd be inclined to agree...Oliver out quick for the escape, Fanthorpe in on a low single but Oliver works his leg down and they go out...5-1 Oliver. Fanthorpe now trying to back Oliver out and after doing it for the third time gets Oliver warned for stalling...couple shot attempts by Oliver but he's still going backwards for the fourth time now. Fanthorpe drops in on another low single, Oliver whizzers hard and clears his leg and they go out ending the period 5-1 Oliver.

3rd Period: Fanthorpe starts down, and he's out without much trouble...5-2 Oliver. Fanthorpe now works a snap now, spins behind or tries to now drops to the legs on the edge, Oliver hit for stalling again while defending on the edge but they go out...5-3 Oliver. 43 seconds to go, Oliver with 1:26 in riding time. Fanthorpe in on another shot now, dragging Oliver back to the center, and drops down behind for the TD to tie the match up 5-5, and cuts immediately to make it 6-5 Oliver with 17 seconds to go...Fanthorpe in on another low single on the edge, and tries to drop down for the TD but the time runs out. Oliver adds riding time.

Jordan Oliver dec Nick Fanthorpe 7-5

    5-3 Iowa State

Yep, thats an a$$-kicking...guess I can pencil Notte in for runner-up or worse at Big XII's.

This is how Oliver SHOULD be wrestling. If he's struggling with the weight, SCORE EARLY!
