Yeah, thats not a good suspension. With those charges, he might be done for the year.

Duke is going a little over the edge with breathalyzer tests. Not that it wasn't warranted in this situation, but they are setting up checkpoint on the main streets around campus and running the tests on everyone in a vehicle not just the driver. If you happen to be under 21 and they get a positive for a beer, they cite for underage drinking.
Life's not the breaths you take, the breathing in and out that gets you through the day ain't what it's all about. It's the moments that take your breath away.

So let me get this straight: They set up check points where they are most likely to catch drunk drivers, if they suspect other people have been drinking they question then, and if that wasnt bad enough if you are underage and have been drinking, they cite you with underage drinking!?
What is this Communist Russia!?

We are living in a police state -when I bounced summers at a bar to make ends meet -as teachers will never be known as well paid-the police used to sit on the main street and pull over everyone -if you ARE a PASSENGER in INDIANA and are DRUNK they can arrest you for Public intox.!!! Why bother with a safe driver ?? They used to pull over yellow cabs we'd call for customers -and lock up the customer .
UNSAFE MOTION means he did not hit the ground quickly enough or his size scared the policeman or he moved toward the officer .
IF the WEAPON was a pistol and not registered ,in Indiana , that is a year ,non-suspendable ,in prison or Jail.

Drinking and driving is one of the stupidest things you can do. You can kill others and yourself. Nobody ever thinks it will happen to them until it does. Accidents happen all the time and the chances of an accident happening greatly increases when you are drunk. Konrad should feel lucky that all he got was a ticket and not a pine box.
I do not agree with checkpoints and citing passengers but if your dumb enough to drink and drive then you deserve all the punishment they give you and you should feel lucky that you didnt kill somone or yourself.
