It would be nice to see the predicted Minny lineup from last year. Without Mason,Dietchler or those great recruits like Geiger, ortiz and disney the gophers don't have the upper weights to beat the clones. I will be there to watch but am expecting a Cyclone victory. It will be interesting to see who will be where in the lineup for the gophers come big ten tourney time. BEAT IOWA! BTW what happend to atticus disney? Is he gone from the Minnesota room? Loppnow and disney are both off the roster. With Nord at 197 the gophers look awfully thin at HWT

The only thing I find real intriguing about this match is if Minny starts JAKE or not -The 2nd semester has begun so if he is eligible he should be there .
There are several close matches but Minny will see that 3-4 more times when the big 10 starts .Dustin has wrestled some ranked guys -but Kerber was wrestling his 3rd match of the year when Dustin beat him and then Chris Brown then #20 Schelyun ? from Bloomsburg was a surprising finalist and was ranked in the 20's-Until he starts beating Sponsellor or Howe or King or M# he'll have to prove himself all over
174 could go either way -Glasser is 17-3
184 -lost to Cameron -nuff said
197-Yohn lost to Biondo and a few others at the Scuffle -the Big 10 is loaded at 197 -Biondo,Brandvold ,Brown ,Beatty were all in the top 10
Hwt -Berhow takes one step forward -2 back-see Palma and Apland matches .
We just went through Minn/Oklahoma State and thought it would be close -it wasn't very close .

that is for sure, the pokes beat em up. I just wish the Minny line-up was what was predicted after last year. As a die hard gopher fan it pains me to see the upper weights getting beat up. Iowa,ISU and the Pokes are the teams to beat so maybe J is playing possum with his line-up. Wish I had the info on Deitchler and Mason to why they are not on the mat. With the gopher line-up at it is they will have no shot at a Big ten title let alone a NCAA championship team

The article I read about that monster 197 implied he went to Minny to wrestle for Morgan and when Morgan cut out so did he .
An example at 97 -I have Orozco on my fantasy squad -he beat the #4 seed Strawn in the first round then majored a guy then lost to Drury and then to POWLESS from IU , who is ranked 20th in the nation . There will be no easy matches at 197 -even the kid from North Western is a JUCO champion transfer .At MSU , Ian Hinton is one of the better big men to come out of Indiana in a ling time -he was like 21 and 20 as a freshman last year.

yeah Marty is missed in that room. I talked to him at Mn/USA State tournament last year alittle bit. He was decked out in Minnesota(sweats) gear so with Brock down right now I wish he would come back. He was huge for recruiting being a native and all.

If Berhow wins it will be because no one from Iowa State showed up....

    Duke Burk v. Scott Glasser

1st Period: Burk with the Esco/Kish wetsuit style shoulder harness...Glasser without it. Both guys go to the head immediately off the whistle. Single attempt by Glasser, Burk blocks it off...little body fake by Burk. A half shot by Burk now but Glasser skips away. Single attempt by Glasser he's in deep on the edge and comes up with it...walks back towards the center and then dives down to collect the second ankle and get the TD...2-0 Glasser. Glasser doing a nice job riding he bumps Burk flat to the mat just as the announcer gave the call of 30 seconds left...Burk tripods up to his feet, Glasser still in tight now sits...Glasser rides it out ending 2-0 with 1:28 in riding time.

2nd Period: Glasser starts down...Burk goes to the ankle off the whistle, Glasser maintains a base. Glasser up to his feet and turns in for the escape...3-0 Glasser. Burk now in on a shot, Glasser gets his hips back and clamps a front headlock on the edge but they go out. Another shot by Burk, Glasser just skips away. 1 minute to o...shot reshot by Burk he gets in deep the second time but Glasser gets his hips back but Burk holds on for the stalemate. Another shot attempt by Burk, Glasser hit for stalling but then he immediately comes back and hits a low single for a TD...5-0 Glasser...Burk gets his hips back square and circles back away for the escape at the buzzer. Ends 5-1 Glasser.

3rd Period: Burk starts down...Burk immediately tripods up, Glasser trying to bump him back down and does. Burk works quickly back to a base but Glasser keeps nice forward pressure on him...Burk up to his feet, peels the hands and is away...5-2 Glasser. Shot reshot again by Burk, in deep but again Glasser sprawls back out they wind up going out...1 minute to go...bad shot by Glasser, Burk tries to spin and doesn't Glasser back in on a reshot...back on the feet again. Bad high crotch attempt by Burk, Glasser hits a reshot high crotch for the TD as Burk comes back up to the feet from that bad shot...7-2 Glasser. Adds riding time.

Scott Glasser dec Durk Burk 8-2

    Minnesota 3 Iowa State 0
