People assume this is an issue with the coaching staff. Any chance mr. Jenkins changed his mind about wanting to compete this year when Burroughs got injured, so now he needs to go to a team that's got a spot open for him?

That is a possibility, but it seems like a stretch at this late date.
Funny you should mention this, but several teams could use some help at 157...

Bubba is lazy in the wrestling room and the class room. He has all the talent in the world just doesn't have the work ethic and that is why he is gone .

I see the Penn State fans have now turned on Bubba Jenkins...I expect to see Jensen in here defending him!
Jacob Schlottke---Gone too soon, and the world is a little less bright because of it. RIP, brother.

Heres my take. Troy Sunderland, not known for being the most intense, push your guys and get all you can out of them type. More laid back go w/ the flo(at least that is my impression) Cael is coming in and he is establishing himself and his program. If bubba(or anyone) is not meeting expectations, sometimes you gotta realize that comes with the territory and some heads have to roll.(If you're going to make an omelette you have to crack a few eggs) Bubba probably wasnt meeting caels work expectations, academic expectations, etc.

Cael also has the luxury of having quite a few guys in those weights for next year. He probably was hoping Bubba would buy into the program and being the 157 next year. That seemingly didn't happen. Cael can ask him to leave knowing he won't leav himself a huge hole next year and is also able to put his stamp and establish himself.

David Taylor's not going to sit the bench at Penn State for more than just his redshirt year. When Cyler transferred in, that was essentially the writing on the wall.

True. But it is still very unknown what weight DT would wrestle(pretty much every interview he says he's going to go up another weight, anybody hear 184 yet?)Plus Bubba would probably still be able to cert. at 149 you'd think.
