Don't see this happening. I think he would have to go undefeated to do this. People just seem to forget that Franklin Gomez won this weight and Ness hasnt beaten Dennis yet.

Not to mention there are quite a few other tough tough 33's. Believe me, I'd be very happy if this happened as he is on my fantasy team, but I am not convinced he could win it all AND go undefeated.

Ness has beaten Gomez both times they've wrestled in folk and he's done it at both 125 and 133. Yes Gomez is the reigning NCAA champion but he isn't what I would call the primary obstacle for Ness winning the Hodge.

Dennis will be tough to get by. It will depend on if Dennis is able to stay offensive or if he goes into just pushing like he tends to do every once in a while.

Well, at the momment, Ness is 11-0 with 10 falls and 7 of those are in the first period. He hold the UM record for falls at 64............he broke it last year as a matter of fact. Sure, IF he goes undefeated AND wins the NCAA he's a contender. He did beat FG last year too. Dennis and the kid from Illinois whom he beat in the NCAAs were his big problems last year.

People on themat are reporting Burroughs is out for the season with two torn ligaments. The injury occurred in the first period. And they went to OT. I fail to see how this is a positive sign for Steve Brown. Chase Pami, meanwhile, looks to replicate his All American finish (which Brown does not have).

If thats true, thats a damn shame. It is the LoSt curse though, JB should have known better than allowing himself to be traded to LoSt...first busted tooth, now torn ligaments?

It looks like just one poster who said he overheard people talking at a bar, I'd wait to see something official. Manning called it a sprained MCL for the web article after the matches, so who knows at this point...
