I'm not sure of the other former wrestler's results, but former Newberry College wrestler Kelly Anundson had an outstanding tournament. Dart Shark also did a great job of announcing.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Former Newberry College wrestler and volunteer assistant coach Kelly Anundson won a gold medal and helped the United States to a team championship at the FILA Grappling World Championships on Saturday.

Anundson topped Brandon Ruiz of West Jordan, Utah, in the No-Gi 120 kg/264.5 lbs. finals by a score of 4-0. Ruiz earned a silver medal in the 2008 World Championships.

Anundson was one of five United States men's competitors to win individual championships and all five were college wrestlers. Both the U.S. men's and women's divisions finished atop the standings.

In just his fourth-ever grappling tournament, Anundson booked his trip to the finals after besting Srdjan Klisaric of Serbia and became one of nine U.S. men to qualify for the finals.

Anundson qualified for funding for the World Championships after winning the individual championships at the U.S. Grappling World Team Trials on October 23.
