    Jayson Ness is just...beast mode.
Jacob Schlottke---Gone too soon, and the world is a little less bright because of it. RIP, brother.

One, two, Evans is coming for you...

Sanders and Ness are just straight up motor guys although its hard to tell with Ness since 9 of his first 10 matches haven't gone the distance. Nice work by the small guys to put this match out of reach early.

Sanders got backs in the second period.

He cut Klingsheim, and Klingsheim stayed on his knees when he did. Sanders found a little bit of space and punched Klingsheim over to his back from his knees much like Metcalf did to Mueller.

    Mike Thorn v. Mike Koehnlein

1st Period: Thorn in on a high crotch and sits Koehnlein to his butt for the TD...and the feed freezes. 2-0 Thorn. Comes back, no idea what the score is but Thorn brutally working a hammerlock, now out to the side and reverses his half...and I guess things get called PD...period ends 5-0 Thorn with 2:27 in riding time.

2nd Period: Koehnlein starts down. Thorn sucks back trying to tilt from a crab ride position, Koehnlein tries to turn in as Thorn gets high...Koehnlein works around for the reversal...5-2 Thorn, and Thorn sits back in and turns in for his trademark Rivera style reversal...7-2 Thorn...Thorn cranks Koehnlin over and he winds up getting saved by the buzzer, period ends 10-2 Thorn.

3rd Period: Koehnlein taking injury time as the period starts. Thorn starts down...Thorn switches off the whistle and catches a leg as Koehnlein tries to stick it in...Koehnlein with a leg in and Thorn grambies through for the reversal and catches Koehnlein on his back again...12-2 Thorn with more coming. Thorn called PD as he bring the arm up to high, that gives him with NF...15-2 Thorn... Thorn cuts and comes back in with a quick TD...17-3 Thorn. Thorn cuts again and runs him out of bounds. 17-4 Thorn...Koehnlein in on a shot and trying to come out between the legs, Thorn drops off his head down onto a leg and picks up the TD.

Mike Thorn tech Mike Koehnlein 19-4

    22-6 Minnesota.

Sounds like the young Huskers are getting taken to school tonight. That being said, I like how the small guys are getting after it.

    Mario Mason v. Chris Hacker

1st Period: Mason coming out to what sounds like old school video game music...Hacker with a half shot to give us our first real action, Mason drops in on a double and comes up high with it...Hacker with a throw by attempt but they go out. Another half shot by Mason, this time Hacker catches out in front. Another shot by Hacker, Mason blocks off...sweep single attempt by Mason and Hacker blocks him off...Mason tries to duck in on a high crotch and this time Hacker drops down to a reshot...Mason whizzers hard and Hacker has a cradle locked up on the edge but both were out so no points were awarded. Mason in deep on a low ankle, some how Hacker scrambles around down to Mason's legs (ref was in the way) and comes behind, Mason switches around as they go down and ends up on top but they went out so again no points were awarded. Period ends scoreless.

2nd Period: Mason starts down...Hacker starts off riding with a claw, Mason trying to tripod up...Hacker lifts and returns him twice and they go out...Mason to the feet, Hacker drops to a leg this time and comes up with a single, cuts to a double and brings Mason down again out of bounds. Mason up with a little more exuberance this time and out to lead 1-0, beats riding time by ten seconds...he appears to have torqued something as he cut away as he's taking injury time. Couple half shots by Hacker as they get back going...Hacker bangs the head and barrels in, Mason sprawls and redirects and they wind up going out. Another shot by Hacker, Mason blocks it off again now Mason drops in but as he came around they wound up going out. Period ends 1-0 Mason.

3rd Period: Hacker starts down. He's up peels the hands and is out quickly to tie the match up 1-1. Mason drops in on a not very good shot, Hacker catches him in front, he peaks out and tries to drag the toes but doesn't have the angle...they go out with 1:06 to go. Mason in on a nice head outside single, cuts the corner and picks up the TD...3-1 Mason. Hacker up to his feet and cuts but Mason keeps contact and knee blocks him out on the edge. 3-1 Mason with 22 seconds to go. Hacker stands and cuts again, Mason drops down to a double lifts and comes down in a turk, doesn't get backs but stays there until the buzzer.

Mario Mason dec Chris Hacker 3-1

    25-6 Minnesota
