    Default D1Rankings -new

If you follow rankings these are out and kinda funny . If your guy did not wrestle over the weekend he probably dropped whereas the Novachov brothers jumped 10-12 spots each-Boris #7 and Filip #4??-ESCO #1 and Parrelli #9-TNICK off the radar ,Everhart at #5...I am sure someone will post a link...

Nickerson has yet to compete this year and Earl dropped all inactive wrestlers from the rankings this week. If he steps on the mat I'm sure he'll be back in the rankings

    125
Esco #1, Nickerson OFF. 4 B10 wrestlers in the top 10.

    133

Novochkov up, Deshazer big drop, Fanthorpe & Oliver small drops. B10 has 3 guys in the top 10, B12, P10, MAC all have 2 in the top 10.

    149
Molinaro #5 & Ruschel #2 both beat Peppleman #16 by similar scores, (Molinaro @ S & B, Ruschell @ CKI) but then LeValley #8 DESTORYED Peppleman in the WBs @ CKI. LeValley lost by one point to Metcalf #1. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

B10 has 4 guys in the top 5!

    157
Burroughs lost due to med default @ CKI but didn't drop. Pami did. Sanderson & Moley moved up. O'Connor I think is definitely the #2 guy having watched him beat Hall this weekend & having beat Sanderson @ the S & B.

    165
Schlatter down to #5. B10 has FIVE in top 10. B12 has TWO in top 5.

    174
B10 B12, ACC have two in top 8.

    184
Keddy down to #6, Pucillo down to #8 but still ahead of Dergo #10 to whom he lost last weekend. Wtf?

B10 has three in top 10, B12 has two while MAC has two in top 3.

    197
No change as far as I can tell

    285
Everhart up to #5. Bradley @ #7, Lane #8. All B12 in top NINE. Someone may sitting @ home for the NCAAs unless 4th & 5th place get a WC.

    TEAM

Doesn't look like there's been a new poll.

The NCAA does not have the old ''wild card '' formula they give out a few but they use a new system . Last year there were 3-4 weight classes where a guy did not have to wrestle in the big 5 tournament and were still eligible .Kinda took all the drama out of the big 5 tournament .

Not true. You must wrestle in conference tournament to go to the big dance.

125: 6 is pretty high for McD to jump after beating Long.

Considering the whoop'n he gave Long, who's tough, he was due for a rise. Whether it should be to something like 9 or to 6 is a matter of opinion. He'll benefit from more seasoning before he takes on folks like TNick or Esco. I consider an early-season high ranking more of a curse than a blessing.

I'm really looking forward to the McD vs Sanders match. I think McD is slightly beyond where Sanders was last year at this time, but Sanders has a lot more experience now.

Maybe just a coincedence, but Schavrien has finished first in every tournament this year. Ahead of #4 Novachkov, #8 Parks, and #10 Nauman. Good thing NCAA's is a tourney. His dual meet losses sure influence his ranking.
